I ended a wand tonight from a stem of amethyst. It was shiny on top of unpeel under the night hour drag of the Sun (accomplishment) and over and done with under the night hour drag of Venus (grace and fruitfulness).
A ritual wand ended of a sacred stem or portion of undergrowth is called a baresman (Phl. barsom).
According to Kotwal and Boyd, the baresman is an "ancient Indo-Iranian indication of seeking the Sacred", and it "establishes a concerning bond between this getig [plain] world and the menog [spiritual] realm. The barsom is, as it were, the passage in which the conventional morals and powers patent their presence and educate the assistance." It is also an means of expression in which one acquires the sacred power. It is also a passage for channeling the power outwards, and hence is a prototypical spiritual team.
