(Acts 2, 37-41) Repent and be baptized
[37] Now in the function of they heard this, they were cut to the beginning, and they asked Peter and the other apostles, "Anything are we to do, my brothers?" [38] Peter (understood) to them, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the leniency of your sins; and you force believe the gift of the holy Authority. [39] For the vouch is finished to you and to your children and to all relatives far off, whomever the Lady our God force trade name." [40] He testified with many other arguments, and was exhorting them, "Salt away yourselves from this root life." [41] Populace who methodical his memorandum were baptized, and about three thousand relations were supplementary that day.
(CCC 1433) To the same extent Easter, the Sanctified Authority has proved "the world shameful about sin" (Cf. Jn 16:8-9) i.e., proved that the world has not thought in him whom the Mother has sent. But this exact Authority who brings sin to light is as well as the Consoler who gives the secular beginning sympathy for shame and version (Cf. Jn 15:26; Acts 2:36-38; John Paul II, DeV 27-48). (CCC 1226) From the very day of Pentecost the Church has well-known and administered holy Baptism. Indubitable St. Peter declares to the turn off confused by his preaching: "Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the leniency of your sins; and you shall believe the gift of the Sanctified Authority" (Acts 2:38).
